IPB University and Delaware State University Forge New Educational Collaboration
Bogor, February 28, 2025 — Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), IPB University is pleased to announce the successful meeting with Delaware State University (DSU), USA, to discuss a double degree program and international class implementation. This significant initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities and foster international partnerships.
The meeting took place on Friday, February 28, 2025, from 09:00 to 11:00 WIB, at Rector Meeting Room 1, 2nd Floor, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, IPB Dramaga Campus. The discussion was attended by Kareem Mclemore, Interim Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management and International Affairs at DSU, along with Prof. Fengshan Liu, Associate Vice President of International Affairs at DSU. From IPB University, the meeting was attended by Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet, Acting Rector and Vice Rector for Resource and Infrastructure Resilience, Prof. Deni Noviana, Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Mrs. Puji Mudiana, Director for International Education. Additionally, representatives from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) were present, including Dr. Akhmad Faqih, Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof. Dyah Iswantini, Head of Chemistry Department, and Prof. Suminar Setiati Achmadi, Lecturer at the Chemistry Department.
Dr. Akhmad Faqih expressed his hope that the collaboration would not only be limited to double degree programs in Chemistry and Biology, but also extend to other activities and study programs within FMIPA, such as Bioinformatics, Climate Science, Biochemistry, and Physics.
Led by the Director of International Education at IPB University, the attendees engaged in productive discussions regarding the collaboration plans and the strategic steps forward. Both institutions expressed their commitment to working together to provide innovative and globally recognized education to their students.
This collaboration with DSU represents a significant step toward achieving IPB University’s mission by offering students diverse learning experiences and academic qualifications recognized internationally. We are excited about the prospects of this partnership and look forward to its successful implementation.
